Microbiology 100
This is course designed for non-biological science majors. It is not equivalent to Microbiology 101 and will not fulfill requirements that Microbiology 101 fulfills.
Microbiology 101
Microbiology 101 is the General Microbiology lecture course. This course is designed primarily for pre-health students, but is open to anyone with an interest in learning about microorganisms and their impact on the world. The prerequisite for this course is Introductory Chemistry.
Microbiology 102
Microbiology 102 is the general laboratory course. It is intended for students who are taking or who have taken Microbiology 101. Prior or concurrent enrollment in Microbiology 101 is required.
Microbiology 303
Microbiology 303 is a lecture course covering the biology of microorganisms. This course is designed primarily for microbiology majors, but is also appropriate for biology, biochemistry, and genetics majors. The prerequisites for this course are Introductory Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and Introductory Biology.
Microbiology 304
Microbiology 304 is the Laboratory course that is intended for students who are taking or who have taken Microbiology 303. Prior or concurrent enrollment in Microbiology 303 is required.
Microbiology 527
This is an advanced upper-level laboratory course for Microbiology majors. Students learn fundamental techniques in microbiology research.
Microbiology 551
The capstone course for Microbiology majors, each year students and faculty investigate an original research topic in microbiology using cutting-edge techniques.
